My blog on the best vitamin for skin health for this week revolves around cannabis andspecifically, its relationship with your skin. First, we shall learn what research says about cannabis and your skin’s health. Is cannabis healthy for your skin?

How Smoking Influences Your Skin Health

We have strong proof at this point that cigarette use, just as nicotine, negatively affects your skin’s health. As a rule, smoking is terrible for your skin in a more significant number of ways than one. The Very Well Mind records nine different ways that smoking harms your skin from the inside out, bringing about a dull and excessively matured appearance. Smoking cigarettes may produce:

Untimely Pre-Maturing of Facial Skin

Sagging or hanging Skin

Skin Malignancy (cancer)

Psoriasis ( A condition in which skin cells build up and form scales and itchy, dry patches.)

Wound Healing

Acne Inversa (A chronic skin condition featuring lumps in places such as the armpits or groin)

Vasculitis ( An inflammation of the blood vessels that causes changes in the blood vessel walls.)

Telangiectasia ( Dilated small blood vessels on the skin or mucous membranes, anywhere in the body.)

Skin Staining/Color Shading Changes ( Skin color changes include any skin discoloration in a patchy or uniform pattern.)

Your Skin is an Organ (the epidermis)

It is made up of two main layers: the epidermis and the dermis. The outer layer of the skin (epidermis) is mainly made up of flat, scale-like cells called squamous cells. Under the squamous cells are round cells called basal cells.

Since most cannabis products lack nicotine and tobacco, we’re, as of now, starting on a healthier foot concerning your skin. Did you realize that skin is the body’s biggest organ? We know that cannabis influences the brain, the lungs, and the heart. So is there any good reason why it wouldn’t affect the skin also? How about we talk about what the skin does and why it’s so fundamental to your general health:

Protection against heat, and physical injury, and hazardous materials.

Prevents loss of water

Decreases dangerous impacts of UV radiation

It goes about as a sensory organ (touch, distinguishes temperature, hot and cold, etc.)

Regulates body temperature

Detects diseases

Produces Nutrient D

Topical versus Oral Cannabis for Your Skin

There’s an unmistakable distinction between how you consume cannabis and what it means for your skin’s health. There isn’t sufficient scientific proof to say what it means for your skin regarding the oral use of cannabis. Analysts don’t have a clue if smoking cannabis causes or benefits skin inflammation (acne).

Up until now, the lone research directed on skin connects to topical cannabis. However, we realize that tobacco-based products can prompt prolonged skin injury, like wrinkles, yellow hue, and diminished collagen production.

The same can’t be said about cannabis. In addition, there is a decent amount of study to help topical cannabis benefit your skin health.

How Could Topical Cannabis Improve Your Skin Health?

Cannabis beauty products are on the ascent with retailers like Sephora, Target, and Etsy. There are both CBD and THC-infused skincare products presently available; it’s a roaring industry now. Target, as of late, added hemp-implanted healthy skin products to its assortment. At the same time, Sephora sells the brand Ruler Jones, which spends significant time in CBD emollients, chewy candies, and oils.

Even though this study is moderately new, much actually must be studied. It’s generally recognized that effective cannabis benefits different skin conditions, including skin acne, psoriasis, and dermatitis.

The American College of Dermatology Association  (AAD) states that the anti-inflammatory properties of CBD may help in the treatment of these conditions. There’s sufficient proof to accept that cannabis and skin acne break out are joined at the hip in positive methods when applied topically.

  1. Just because some people use it negatively doesn’t mean there is no good way of using cannabis.
I feel like there’s a lot of bigotry from some of those that reject its medicinal use, which, if you look at its history, a lot of it has to do with racism against the original people that used it.
It’s a good thing that there’s more awareness right now, and more research is being done regarding its beneficial uses.

    1. Hello,

  2. Hi Kevin

So wonderful to see the benefits of cannabis on our skin. I have been on a natural skincare journey since I was a teenager, and I love all the plants at our disposal for medical treatments. The skin is so important, and not many people comprehend its function and how vital it is to keep healthy. When we consume healthy, natural, clean food and drink, it shows on our skin. It is refreshing to see now compared to a decade ago the variety of cannabis/ hemp products available in beauty and skincare treatments.

Thank you for all your helpful information!

The second is that I am catching wind of the advantages of CBD items and might want to attempt the oils or salves. Much obliged for showing me I am progressing nicely.
